A Garden Affair 20

Louisville radio host and columnist Bob Hill (who also owns Hidden Hill Nursery and Sculpture Garden) will present a talk “Wit, Wonder and Whimsy in Your Garden” on Saturday, March 20, 2010.  In addition, Dr. Larry DeBuhr from Hanover College River’s Institute will discuss, “Great Botanic Gardens of North America.”  This Lanier Mansion Foundation program, will be held at the old Masonic Building in downtown Madison, 217 East Main St. and will include lunch. Annual Butterfly Count 31 Great Spangled Fritillaries, Spicebush Swallowtails, and Silver Spotted Skippers! At least 40 species of butterflies have been spotted during the survey in each of the previous counts.  Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge. Meet at the refuge office on Saturday morning July 31 between 7:45 and 8:00 am.
