Established as the first public library in the old Northeast Territories, the library includes local history, photographs, genealogy.

Mon-Thurs 9am-9pm, Fri 9am-6pm, Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 1pm-5pm Closed on Sundays in the summer.

The center provides a 10 minute video presentation, "Madison, A Storybook City". Also, visitor information, brochures, group tour planning, gift shop, exterior benches, and rest rooms are available.
