In conjunction with the ‘Threads of Scotland: the Life and Weaving of Thomas Cranston’ at the History & Art Center, the Southern Indiana Folk School is presenting ‘Freeform Tapestry Weaving’ workshop led by Cherie Rike.
You will weave a wall hanging using a picture frame loom. You will attach a piece of driftwood to the frame and warp the loom. You will be introduced to a variety of tapestry weaving techniques to incorporate in your freeform weaving. Choose yarn colors and weights our extensive collection. Add found objects and embellishments will make it truly your own. By the end oft his 4-hour class your one of a kind wall hanging will be ready to remove from the loom and ready to hang.

- Assorted yarns in a variety of colors
- Yarn needles and stick shuttles
