The Indiana Wine Trail celebrates 9th annual “Souper Saturday”

January 9, 2019 By admin Leave a Comment

February 23rd, 11am-5pm, The Indiana Wine Trail will provide a refuge to the late winter weather for its’ patrons with “Souper Saturday!”  A chance to escape the usual cold, wet weather, Ertel Cellars Winery and Restaurant, Holtkamp Winery, Lanthier Winery, Madison Vineyards Estate Winery, The Ridge Winery, Stream Cliff Farm Winery and The Thomas Family Winery will offer samples of fine soups and other concoctions designed to show off their wines and warm folks hearts.

“Each of the seven artisan wineries will prepare and sample their own special soups using their own wines! !“ said Mary Jane Demaree of The Ridge Winery.

This year the Souper Saturday line up will have a Minestrone, Spicy Chicken Wine Chili, Vegetable wine soup, Cheesy potato soup, Spicy southwestern Coyote soup, Sausage and Lentil soup and a Spicy Rio Red Onion soup.

Please mark your calendars for February 24th.  And as well, the Indiana Wine Trail showcase “ Spring into the Valley”, a celebration of Bread and Cheese, is on April 13th and 14th this year!  Celebrate Spring’s warm weather, green leaves and beautiful flowers with the Indiana Wine Trail.

The Indiana Wine Trail encompasses everything from secluded estate vineyards to historic pub-style bistros in southern Indiana.  Each winery offers a different take on one of the state’s fastest-growing agricultural products: handcrafted Indiana wine.

Those interested in more information about the Indiana Wine Trail can call Visit Madison at 1-800-559-2956 or log onto the website at www.indianawinetrail.com.
