We know how to throw a party! We’ve been doing this since 1809….there is ALWAYS something to do when you come to Madison. There are home tours, music events, garden tours, holiday events, parades, arts/crafts shows, 5Ks, car shows, food & wine tastings, and beer on tap – just to name a few.
Our largest events include Madison River Jam (formerly RiverRoots), Madison Regatta, Madison Ribberfest BBQ & Blues, Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art, Soup, Stew, Chili & Brew Festival, Nights Before Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes, and Wonderland in the Park.

Antiques on the Road @ Shrewsbury-Windle

Shrewsbury-Windle House, 301 W. First Street, Madison, Indiana
- J. Scott Keller, of the firm Blackard and Geiger, Ltd, will appraise your items. He is well known in the art and antique circles. His qualifications are numerous and his accolades are well known throughout the state. He has also appeared on the PBS television program, Antiques Roadshow. Appraisals will be given to collectors on a first come, first served basis throughout the day.
- A morning shift is planned for 10-12:30 and an afternoon shift will run from 1-4 pm.
Fee: $10 per item, will be charged at the door.
Payment in cash or check for appraisals.
NO appraisals on coins, jewelry, stamps or dolls.
EVENING PROGRAM | 5:00 – 7:00 PM
Mr. Keller will present an informative evening program at the Shrewsbury-Windle House on antiques and the value of collectibles. Evening program is limited to 30 attendees.
- Reservations must be made through www.eventbrite.com for $10 admission per person.
- Cash bar and refreshments served.
Proceeds from both programs benefit the Shrewsbury-Windle House National Historic Landmark.
