We know how to throw a party! We’ve been doing this since 1809….there is ALWAYS something to do when you come to Madison. There are home tours, music events, garden tours, holiday events, parades, arts/crafts shows, 5Ks, car shows, food & wine tastings, and beer on tap – just to name a few.
Our largest events include Madison River Jam (formerly RiverRoots), Madison Regatta, Madison Ribberfest BBQ & Blues, Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art, Soup, Stew, Chili & Brew Festival, Nights Before Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes, and Wonderland in the Park.

FARMERS MARKET OF MADISON, INDIANA
Broadway Fountain, N. Broadway & Main Street – Indiana’s oldest Farmer’s Market – Est. 1809
Local produce, farm fresh eggs and meats, artisan baked goods, handmade crafts, and more! All of these items are sold around the Broadway Fountain by our local, 100% producer only vendors. Saturday’s outdoor rain or shine market features bi-weekly live music and other entertainment. Check Facebook and Instagram for weekly offerings and special events.
Music at the Market featuring Joel Curtis – 10am-noon.
Library at the Market – Join Librarians from the Jefferson County Public Library for a fun “I Spy at the Market” children’s activity. Children who complete the activity can turn in their card for a prize at the Library booth.
