We know how to throw a party! We’ve been doing this since 1809….there is ALWAYS something to do when you come to Madison. There are home tours, music events, garden tours, holiday events, parades, arts/crafts shows, 5Ks, car shows, food & wine tastings, and beer on tap – just to name a few.
Our largest events include Madison River Jam (formerly RiverRoots), Madison Regatta, Madison Ribberfest BBQ & Blues, Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art, Soup, Stew, Chili & Brew Festival, Nights Before Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes, and Wonderland in the Park.

Lanier/Madison Ghost Walk
September 14, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 11:00 pm$7 – $15
Venture inside the Lanier Mansion to enjoy a nighttime, behind-the-scenes tour of the home and hear spooky stories related to the house and its former inhabitants. Journey on to the nearby streets of downtown Madison and stop outside three other locations that are rumored to be haunted. The last stop will be the Broadway Tavern, where those ages 21+ can enjoy an additional “spirit” if they wish.
Tours are offered from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 to 11 p.m.
Price: $10/adult members (ages 18+), $2/youth members (ages 10-17); $15/adult non-members, $7/youth non-members; not recommended for those younger than age 10.

Tickets for the walk, which will be held regardless of the weather, guests should be prepared to go up and down stairs and walk on uneven surfaces around downtown Madison. The number of tickets for each group is limited. For more information 812-265-3526.
