The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a 1975 musical comedy horror film by 20th Century Fox.

In this cult classic, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O’Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”

Please do not bring outside props and we would ask that attendees refrain from throwing any items directly at the screen.

Costumes are welcome but please mind public decency laws both outside and inside the venue.

Rocky Horror is an audience participation film. This means you will get out of your seats, dance around, yell obscenities, throw things in the theater, and much more!

The Ohio Theatre is owned and managed by Friends of the Ohio Theatre, Inc. a non-profit organization that acquired the historic Ohio Theatre in March of 2016. Volunteers are dedicated to renovating the theatre to preserve Madison’s cinematic heritage and create a community-supported, multi-use arts facility.
