This is the first posting from our new dining guru – Dave Adams. Almost every night of the week you can find Dave and company in one of Madison’s eateries, so he really knows what he is taking about!
Looking for a great place for lunch or dinner for one or for a large group? Then the Pines Restaurant, 2700 Michigan Rd, can take care of your hunger pangs. I ate there with our Presbyterian LAFFs (Life After Fifty-Five) group last Wednesday and enjoyed fellowship and felt very comfortable to eat slowly and not feel rushed. The soup and salad are a meal in itself, however, I had to make a trip to the regular buffet for chicken, fish, and all the other selections. Sallie waited on us with a smile and always kept our coffee cups, iced tea and water glasses full. I have also eaten there for lunch and been able to eat and get back to work in 20 minutes.
I have also participated in larger banquet parties at the Pines in Madison and Seymour over the years and the food and service are always consistently great. Remember The Pines is moving to winter hours during January and February and will be open Friday through Sunday Lunch and dinner.
