Madison Performing Art Foundation features Pianist Seth Jines

Seth Jines Performer Biography
Seth Jines is a graduate student in piano performance, in the studio of Dr. Robert Marler, at Belmont University. During his tenure, Seth served as the accompanist to the Bel Canto choral ensemble. He also served as a graduate teaching assistant to the piano department.
As an active performer, he has appeared as a solo accompanist on the PBS television special: Christmas at Belmont. In 2017, Seth made his international debut performing in Eisenstadt, Austria at the Classical Music Festival. During the festival, Seth was able to participate in masterclasses led by world-renown pedagogue Dr. Jane Magrath (Professor Emeritus at the University of Oklahoma) and Dr. Andrew Cooperstock from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
As an organist, Seth has earned the Service Playing Certificate from the American Guild of Organists. He currently studies with Dr. Peter Rogahn of First Presbyterian Church Nashville. He has played for services at St. Ann’s Catholic Church-Nashville, the Cathedral of the Incarnation-Nashville, Catholic Churches of Jennings County, Plainfield UMC, and Castleton UMC.
Seth is currently a piano technician serving the Louisville and Nashville areas. His work has been featured on Michael W Smith’s “Worship: Reimagined” broadcast for TBN. He has also been the concert technician for the Louisville Orchestra, Kentucky Opera, and the Kentucky Center for the Arts. A list of legendary clients has included: Sandi Patty, Gavin Degraw, Five for Fighting, Deborah Allen, and many of the historic recording studios of Nashville.
A native of Indiana, Seth was raised in the small town of North Vernon. A piano student of Dr. Sarah Gierzynski, he was awarded the Park Theatre Civic Center/Jennings County Players scholarship to pursue a collegiate degree in music. Previous piano instructors include: Dr. Beverly Simms, Dr. C. Kimm Hollis, and Ms. Grace Baugh-Bennett. He was former organ student of Dr. Marko Petricic. Seth is a current member of the American Guild of Organists.
