We know how to throw a party! We’ve been doing this since 1809….there is ALWAYS something to do when you come to Madison. There are home tours, music events, garden tours, holiday events, parades, arts/crafts shows, 5Ks, car shows, food & wine tastings, and beer on tap – just to name a few.
Our largest events include Madison River Jam (formerly RiverRoots), Madison Regatta, Madison Ribberfest BBQ & Blues, Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art, Soup, Stew, Chili & Brew Festival, Nights Before Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes, and Wonderland in the Park.

Andrew Winner – Classical Guitarist

On Saturday, January 22nd, fill your evening with the soothing sounds of classical guitar with Andrew Winner at First Christian Church! Andrew, from Bowling Green, Kentucky, will return to Madison where his performance several years ago was thoroughly enjoyed by an appreciative audience.

On Sunday, March 20th, enjoy an evening of lovely piano music with Kirill Gliadkovsky at Madison Presbyterian Church! Josef Woodard, critic at the Los Angeles Times, wrote: "...the intensity and a nicely honed musicality left the audience stunned...enthralling...all in all, a gripping and masterful performance."

Dave Vonderheide, Trumpet & More

This native Madisonian will return home to play a concert with his wife and violinist, Elizabeth. Both perform regularly as members of the Virginia Symphony.

Spring Choir Festival

On Sunday, May 1st, churches from the surrounding communities join forces after Easter to sing a concert under the direction of Hanover College's choral director, Dr. Madlen Batchvarova.

On Tuesday, May 10th, enjoy an evening of lovely quartet music with Telegraph Quartet at Prince of Peace Catholic Church! We are proud to host this San Francisco-based and 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐝 quartet here in Madison. This is the hometown of violinist, Joseph Maile who plays in this group.
