Olde Tyme Marketplace is Your One Stop Shop
It was a pleasure to speak with Beth Lewis, the owner of Olde Tyme Marketplace, and get to know her beautiful business. This is not only a wonderful store with quality products and great customer service, but also is a perfect example of what makes a Madison business unique.
Beth’s goal with Olde Tyme is to bring people the comforts of home in an affordable and handmade way. This large space boasts numerous sections of merchandise to provide a one stop shop with accessories for you and your home.
Beyond unique vintage clothes and home décor, Olde Tyme offers pantry items, laundry supplies, jewelry, accessories, and more!
Learning to Thrive in Dark Times
Olde Tyme was open for barely a year when the pandemic hit, and was forced to be shut down due to CDC regulations. However, they launched their website in December of 2019, so while things were rocky for many, their groundwork was laid out for them to be able to be successful online.
Combining their new website with their strength of their social media platforms, they were able to bring or ship products to customers. Through well-marketed events, such as Walkthrough Wednesday and $10 Tuesday, they were able to keep people connected to their inventory daily.
The store was also able to offer contactless curbside pickup to any local customers. Social media brought visibility to their business when they needed it most and what started as a necessity has morphed into a community. Beth has kept up with her online presence even after returning to the in-person store and has developed a loyal following of deal-seekers and style enthusiasts.
Olde Tyme During the Holidays
Something long-anticipated by Olde Tyme’s following is the arrival of the holidays and what that means for the store – it is absolutely transformed. Regular favorites will remain, but seasonal items are added periodically from the first week of October up until Christmas. Starting on Black Friday there will be door-buster opportunities at great prices you will not be able to resist. Do not miss all the fun you can participate in and add Olde Tyme Marketplace to your list of places to check out for this holiday season!
