Commemorate the sesquicentennial of the end of the Civil War and Lincoln’s assassination. The commemoration ceremony will take place on the steps of the Lanier Mansion.

Hundreds of luminaries will be lit around the grounds of the mansion as Civil War music will be performed by Dusty Fiddles. Costumed presenters will read selections from period newspapers, letters and diaries describing the end of the war and Lincoln’s assassination. Cannon salute will also be fired by Nelson Artillery Company.
